A delegation from the Republic of The Gambia comprising government officials from the Ministry of Petroleum and Energy, Gambia National Petroleum Corporation, and the Petroleum Commission attended the Africa Oil Week that took place in Cape Town, South Africa from the 9th to the 13th of October 2023. The delegation was headed by the Honourable Minister of Petroleum , Mr. Abdoulie Jobe. Amongst engagements that the delegates held included the Ministerial sessions, Regional and National showcases, and several other meetings with potential partners in promoting our open Exploration Blocks and Data.
The Director General of the Petroleum Commission, during his presentation, on the above ground situation, highlighted the ‘organization’ of the sector’s governance as a key factor that distinguishes The Gambia from neighbouring countries.
